Blending Silo

• The Blending Silo is designed for functionality, strength, and durability. The silo meets or exceeds all of the safety and hygiene requirements of the major tobacco companies. The silo is equipped with adjustable foot plates for easy, accurate leveling.
• Features & Specifications
• Tapered stainless steel side walls prevent the product from becoming so tightly packed that it can not be discharged.
• The apron belt has a chain on the sides with slats or rollers beneath the belt. The apron is kept clean by a rotary brush.
• The apron belt is driven by a “smart” gear motor with an integrated VFD that provides for a wide range of speeds and loads. A exclusive torque control system stops the motor in the unlikely event of a jammed apron.
• The doffer system, powered by a single gear motor, thoroughly loosens and blends the discharged product with a minimum of degradation.
• Access openings with safety interlocks are incorporated into the silo for inspection and ease of maintenance. Optional full front clear swing outdoors.
• Selvedge on both sides of the belt provides for an efficient seal and is arranged for easy replacement.
• Constructed of stainless steel and powder-coated carbon steel.
